Central London branches — including large Boots and LloydsPharmacy stores along Oxford Street, Victoria and the City — often stay open until 10 pm. Outer London pharmacies typically close earlier, between 6 pm and 7 pm on weekdays.
The one confirmed 24-hour option is Zafash Pharmacy on Old Brompton Road in Earls Court (SW5). It is an independent chemist that has operated around the clock for many years and is well known to London's late-night healthcare workers and shift staff. It is worth noting that being independent means its hours are not guaranteed by an NHS 100-hour contract — phone ahead if you are making a special journey late at night.
Bank holidays are handled borough by borough. NHS England London region pharmacies participate in the national rota system; PharmFinder applies confirmed rota hours as soon as they are published. On days without confirmed rota data, the conservative default applies — treat any pharmacy as closed until you have phoned to confirm.
