Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Anonymous session identifier (localStorage key pharmfinder:session-id): a random UUID generated when you first use the feedback widget. Used only to prevent duplicate ratings. No personal data.
• Night-mode preference (localStorage key pharmfinder:night-mode-override): stores your theme choice. Not transmitted anywhere.
• IP address, processed ephemerally for rate limiting. Not stored in our database.
• Approximate location, only if you grant permission or enter a postcode. Used to find nearby pharmacies. Not stored server-side after the search completes.

Analytics

We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-first service that operates without cookies and does not collect personal data. Events logged include page views and aggregated interaction counts (e.g. how often “Call” is clicked). No individual users are tracked.

Retention

Session identifier persists in your browser until you clear browser storage. Feedback vote records are stored for 24 months. Server access logs are retained for 30 days.

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, port, restrict, or object to processing of personal data. To exercise any right, email hello@findpharmacy.co.uk. You may also lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
